Currently attending as part of the Barry R. Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema's inaugural class for Screenwriting, Jess Mazza completed her undergraduate at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a degree in poetry and maintains a personal practice in production and development in Brooklyn, NY. Most recently, she co-created the short comedic digital series Utilities Not Included which participated in the IFP Screen Forward Labs and presented at IFP Week 2017. Her pilot Bad Friends was a Comedy semi-finalist in ScreenCraft Pilot Launch 2017.
Genres included in her practice are comedy and dark comedy. Her stories deal mainly with personal identity and belonging (or lack there of). Her favorite color is red, but she wears a lot of blue.
